Beautiful home and easy to get to the Beach!!!

I enjoyed working with Arthur Rue they were very responsive to my emails and questions. Our rental property was nice the pool area could have been a little nicer and the pool was dirty when we arrived. Overall the house was beautiful

This house was perfect for younger kids with beach being only one house away. The pool was great as well although the pool floor was kinda wonky level. Nice toddler shelf in the pool. Beds are kinda firm but plenty of room in the house. Everything was in working order. Shower nozzles needed some help and the upstairs shower was beautiful but tricky with no curtain or door. Outside shower was very room with good shower head. Peaceful street and good parking. Porch was huge and comfy chairs. Would definitely rent again!

Being so close to the ocean was a great “perk”! The pool was also a big plus. Had to call about bathroom toilet. ARue responded quickly. A big negative was the small 2 bedroom attached to the garage. We won’t rent this unit again because of that. Arthur Rue is great to work with.

We sold our home earlier in the year as the children have all grown and have moved out. We decided to downsize to an apartment and then the question of what happens to our annual Thanksgiving tradition of always having at our house. We decided to look into renting a beach house for the week and we were lucky to have found Lauren and Arthur Rue. We rented in Seaside Park and right from the start Lauren was great to deal with. She gave us options and the house was exactly as she described and perfect for us and we had an exceptional week.

We had our family from SC, TN, Denver & Milwaukee together and wanted to spend time in Seaside Park where "Mom" had relatives within walking distance and where "Mom" spent her summers growing up. Imagine our dismay when the whole family showed up on move in day to find a dirty kitchen with broken shelves and no icemaker in the refrigerator, old beds that had mattresses sagging almost to the floor, a dirty outdoor pool that filter did not work and my husband had to run hose to try and fill. Dirty grill utensils were in kitchen cabinet next to fire sticks, and kitchen dishes. Worst of all was that there's a cement downstairs "entrance/room" with a bar that is the way from the downstairs to the pool. It's fly infested, and no electricity or furniture - cement / cinderblock floor. We decided to rent another property that was $12K for the week, and received NO REFUND for the 11 8th Avenue house. We wasted a full day cleaning, and moving in and out, and were told "There's nothing I can do" after 2 months of waiting for some type of refund. "Mom's family" made the trip enjoyable, and the house we rented for $12K+ was very nice. Unfortunately, we didn't have a pool for the kids, and are still so disappointed in the experience we most likely will vacation in another state other than NJ in the future. If I could give a negative rating to the house and owner I would.

We had some challenges: first floor AC lack of control; owner didn't pay cable bill; Dishwasher needed fixing; MBR shower leaked into the kitchen. all were corrected quickly by Rue staff except the MBR shower.

The location was perfect!!! We had 3 children under the age of 4. They loved the pool after time at the beach. Of course, we all loved the ice cream shop at the end of the block.

We had a few glitches. The AC went out in the basement “apartment,” but the Rue agency came and installed window units. The WiFi went out and the router needed to be replaced. We bought a new one and the Rue agency refunded our money for it. The house is oddly set up. There is only one enormous (and beautiful) master suite on the 3rd floor. The main floor only holds two bedrooms that are VERY small with a queen bed in each. The basement level has a full kitchen, full bath, and two more queen beds (one in its own room). The basement apartment looks and feels like what it is.... A basement apartment. The kitchen and living areas on the main floor are spacious and very nice. The front porch is fantastic! The pool and outdoor shower were also big and fantastic! I think this house is well-suited for a smaller group of people than we had. We had 11 people. It was clean and pretty, but oddly set up and the basement bedrooms were “basement” bedrooms. The Rue Agency was wonderful to work with and acted fast when we had issues.

Over all it was a good time. The house is great and very roomy. Covid, lack of restaurants and no wish to go on to the boardwalk made it a very different vacation. The pool is surrounded by trees, doesn't get much sun and constantly needs to be skimmed.
